I grew up in Waco, Tx. Though we went to church off and on, it was not until I was 17 that I came to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. After high school I went to West Texas State on a football scholarship, and it was during my sophomore year in college that I began serving as a youth minister in Amarillo, Tx.
After graduating from West Texas, we moved to Houston where I served as a Student Pastor for 5 ½ years and I began my seminary studies at that time.
In 1995, we moved to Ft. Worth where I served as Student Pastor. During this time we established a youth worship service on Sunday mornings. In 1998 God began to stir in my heart to plant a church and through his leadership, we helped start a new church in the suburbs of Ft. Worth.
In August of 2003 I had the privilege of traveling overseas and speaking at a Youth Camp in Andernach, Germany. As a result of that experience, God called our family to move to Germany where we served as Church Planters in the city of Duesseldorf for 4 years. While in Germany, I finished my seminary degree where I earned a Masters in Missiology.
After 4 years in Germany, God lead us back to the USA in the summer of 2008 and in September of 2008, we moved to McKinney where we planted LifePointe Fellowship.
I married Pamela Henderson Taylor in 1988 and we have 5 children. Our children’s names are Peyton, Holden, Dillon, Haven, and Canyon.
